3 DIY hair product that can save you a fortune

Today I’d like to pass along a few tips so you can also enjoy naturally beautiful hair without spending a fortune. Not only is homemade hair care much less expensive than store-bought, it’s also free of toxins and chemicals.

HONEY –

This is a little sticky, but it truly makes your hair feel soft and smooth afterwards. It’s more like a softening hair treatment.

To give yourself a honey hair treatment:

Massage ½ cup of honey, or as much as you need (less for short hair, more for long hair) into dry hair and leave for 20 minutes. Increase the effectiveness of this hair treatment by putting on a shower cap or wrapping a plastic bag around your hair. This will help keep the heat in which will allow the honey to soak in more deeply.

Once the 20 minutes are up, shampoo and condition as usual. Honey is also great as a face cleanser. Other one-ingredient hair treatments include mayonnaise and avocado. Simply massage into hair as described above.

COCONUT OIL-

Coconut oil is one of the most versatile product. You can use it to cook, clean, and condition your hair. According to research, lauric acid allows coconut oil to be more easily absorbed into the hair shaft, making it a top choice for reducing protein loss from sun exposure or chemical treatment.

And if your hair gets flaky as soon as the water dries out, you’re going to want to give this mask a try. It will exfoliate and moisturize your scalp

How to apply to hair:

for a coconut oil hair mask, mix 1 tablespoon of organic or raw coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of raw sugar. Then, massage the mask into your scalp for 5 minutes and rinse.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:

The apple cider vinegar helps to remove product buildup that dulls hair, nourishes and softens unruly strands. Apple cider vinegar also helps to de-frizz hair, making this a great choice for those with more than texture.

how to apply to hair:

in a blender, combine ½ avocado, 2 tablespoon argan oil, 10 olive essential oil(drops of any oil of your choice), and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

Work the mask through dry hair from roots to tip (if your hair’s oily, skip your scalp). Clip hair in place, wear a shower cap and let sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse and cleanse with shampoo. Do this at least once a month.
